Night And Limited-Visibility Diving

Requirements:

• SSI Open Water Diver certification OR equivalent
• Minimum age: 10 years
• Good health; medical clearance if required

Description:

The SSI Night & Limited-Visibility Specialty teaches divers how to plan and conduct dives in the dark or in areas with limited visibility. You will learn to use dive lights, maintain buddy contact, navigate, and recognize underwater signals. This specialty improves your confidence and expands your diving opportunities beyond daytime dives.

Note

• Learn safe techniques for night dives and low-visibility conditions
• Emphasizes buddy procedures, navigation, and emergency planning
• Can be counted as an adventure dive for the Advanced Open Water program
